1. Construction Contractors
   Tomco Insurance is a leader in the area of providing affordable insurance to the construction industry. After years of development with various insurance carriers, we were finally able to offer a comprehensive, flexible, yet low-cost program for home improvement contractors. This program was introduced in 1988 and became an immediate success. In 1989, Tomco Insurance Corp. received the only property and casualty endorsement of the Maryland Improvement Contractor's Association (MICA), an endorsement we have held ever since. By working closely with MICA, we have helped this organization become the largest of its kind in the country.
   
   We also take pride in writing "hard to place" contractors. Specialty contractors and countless others have come to rely on Tomco Insurance to provide the answers they need and the service they expect.
   
   
2. Environmental Risks
   In 1986, we began to write the pollution coverage for various hazardous waste haulers, tank cleaning operations, and remediation companies. In the years since we wrote those first environmental accounts, we have come to see the need for knowledgeable advice and comprehensive coverage in the field of environmental insurance. In 1991, Tomco Insurance created a new division to meet this challenge, Tomco Environmental Insurance Services (TEIS).
   Due to the evolving nature of environmental insurance and legislation, the production personnel of Tomco Environmental Insurance Services regularly attends seminars, study industry publications, review loss adjustment information, and analyze current legal decisions and legislation.
